The school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) for the upper secondary years. In Classes 1-6 BISG follows the IPC (International Primary Curriculum), taught in a British-inspired framework and aligned with the Polish podstawa programowa. In Classes 9-12 BISG uses a fully bilingual curriculum in line with the Polish National Curriculum, with English as the primary language of instruction. The curriculum emphasizes inquiry-based learning and interdisciplinary projects, supported by a Digital Citizenship Curriculum for digital literacy.
Interdisciplinary Projects include humanities projects, STEM projects, literary projects and theatre productions, which involve public speaking, singing and dancing. The school stages performances in professional theatres in Gdańsk as part of its arts program. Public Speaking & Presentation is integrated into English, with opportunities such as TED Talks and drama productions performed on local stages. Creative opportunities in English coursework include presenting work to develop writing and speaking skills.
The BISG has an international perspective with representation of over 40 nationalities, and teachers from 15 nationalities. English is the primary language of instruction. Polish lessons follow the Polish core curriculum, and Polish as a Foreign Language is available for non-Polish speakers. BISG matches the best of British education with the Polish podstawa programowa.
A large number of extracurricular activities and enrichment projects contribute to students' holistic development. The Extra-Curricular section describes an interdisciplinary learning experience with a wide variety of activities. These activities support personal growth across academic and non-academic domains.
The Diploma Programme core includes Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) and the Extended Essay. The DP curriculum also provides pathways to university. This structure supports student engagement with real-world issues through project work.
