Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school maintains an inclusive culture with a diverse student population, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and qualities to meet opportunities and challenges and to contribute positively to their communities.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The SEN department provides a supportive, inclusive environment and offers tailored therapies to meet individual students' needs.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

From the start, dedicated English as an Additional Language (EAL) support is provided, including small-group instruction. By Class 4, students are encouraged toward greater independence in language learning.

Mental Wellbeing

Wellbeing provisions include confidential access to specialists in well-being spaces, with psychological support, speech and language therapy, and other individualized services to help students thrive emotionally and academically.

Safeguarding

Three BISG facilities provide a safe and caring environment; CCTV and secure doors ensure safety at all times. Preschool and upper primary/secondary campuses have fenced perimeters and coded gates, adding protection, and the school works with parents and authorized individuals to ensure safe pickup.

British International School Gdańsk (BISG) educates children aged 3 to 18 across three eco-friendly campuses. The school provides English-medium instruction with Polish requirements, applying a progression from English Early Years Foundation Stage, through IPC in primary, IMYC in middle years, a fully bilingual Polish National Curriculum in lower secondary, to the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in the final two years. Core subjects are taught by specialists; Polish and Polish as a Foreign Language support are provided, with EAL and SEN assistance. Facilities include a fully equipped ICT suite, a 3D printer, laptops and tablets, a BISG Theatre, solar panels and an air-quality sensor. Enrichment spans daily clubs, language trips to Spain, France and Germany, theatre productions, MUN, STEM fairs and community service. BISG hosts students from over 40 nationalities and emphasizes inquiry-led, cross-curricular projects and the DP core: TOK, CAS and Extended Essay.
