Facilities Overview

The British International School of the University of Lodz (BISUL) is located in the heart of Lodz on Fabryczna 4, in the city centre near Galeria Lodzka and multinational corporations. The premises have been adapted to fit BISUL's needs and include sections designed for Foundation, Primary and Secondary. Classes are equipped with smartboards, projectors, laptops and other learning equipment. The Foundation Section has a large teaching and playroom area leading to a sleeping and resting annex, with self-contained sanitary facilities and easy access to an outdoor area. The Primary Section consists of large rooms with space for seating areas in demanding subjects and a carpeted area for more active activities. The Secondary Section has smaller classrooms dedicated to specific subjects (Maths, Physics, History, Biology, English, and Science) and access to the big gym and a seating area.

Sports Facilities

The Secondary Section has access to the big gym for physical education. The Preschool program includes sports and physical activities such as swimming, dancing, yoga and gymnastics.

Academic Facilities

The Secondary Section provides dedicated classrooms for Maths, Physics, History, Biology, English and Science. BISUL offers Cambridge Lower Secondary with progression tests in English, Maths and Science; Cambridge Upper Secondary with Cambridge IGCSE; and the IB Diploma Programme (two-year programme for ages 16–19). BISUL is an IB-authorised school. The Preschool uses the EYFS framework and introduces languages including English, Polish and Spanish, with literacy development using Jolly Phonics.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Extracurriculars include sports, arts and community service as part of the IB programme. The Creative Pursuit Programme (CPP) offers a range of lessons during school hours, including art and craft, art history, choir, band, astronomy, journalism and Model United Nations, and includes sports teams. In Preschool, children participate in activities such as visits and trips to museums, theatres and art galleries; the timetable emphasizes Understanding the World, Creative Development and Music, Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Numeracy, Literacy, and Communication and Language.

The British International School of the University of Łódź (BISUL) is a British international school in Łódź, Poland, serving ages 2 to 18. It was established in 2013 when local entrepreneurs and the University of Łódź joined forces to create a British-style education, with the university's Foundation as owner.
