Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

The International High School of Wroclaw was founded in 1990 by the Foundation of International Education, the governing body described as a Polish public charity. It is part of a long-standing non-public school complex in Lower Silesia, alongside Wroclaw International School and ATUT Bilingual Primary School. In September 2016, learning moved to the Center for International Education on Racławicka Street 101, described as one of Poland's most modern campuses. The school offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and the campus won the Beautiful Wroclaw architectural award in 2017.

Community

Nestled within the experienced non-public school complex in Lower Silesia, the International High School of Wroclaw is part of a vibrant community that includes Wroclaw International School and ATUT Bilingual Primary School. It is a multicultural community created by students of both Polish and international origin, including graduates of ATUT Bilingual Secondary School and Wroclaw International School. School life focuses on news, long-term projects, daily schedules, calendars and extracurricular activities, reflecting a global, bilingual learning environment.

Parent-Teacher Association

Parents participate in the Parent Teacher Association, a social body that supports the Head of School and the faculty in developing the educational offer. The association emphasizes cooperation between parents and school leadership and asserts that a modern school cannot exist without parental involvement. The PTA provides a channel for parent input and collaboration with the school. It helps improve the school's educational offerings and opportunities for students. It is described as a key part of the school's cooperative culture.
