1. Admission review and capacity check. The Principal, in consultation with the PYP coordinator, the school psychologist, and experienced teachers, reviews each applicant to determine whether they will benefit from ISoB's educational programme. ISoB also assesses whether there is sufficient capacity to meet the applicant's needs. This stage ensures alignment with the correct programme (PYP, MYP, or DP).
2. Interview and English assessment. Applicants are interviewed by the Principal and/or the relevant programme coordinator about their interests and future plans. An English proficiency assessment is conducted by the English teacher. The interview and assessment help determine suitability for ISoB's curriculum and language requirements.
3. Documentation. Applicants must complete required documents: Application form (available on the school site), Medical/Insurance Form, and Student Certificates from previous schools. An opinion from the last school, if possible, should be provided. One photograph in identity-card format is required.
4. Fees. An entrance fee must be paid. Billing details specify the ISoB account for the non-refundable registration fee. The registration payment is required before enrollment.
5. Enrollment terms. Parents sign the enrollment contract, the code of behavior, the locker instruction, and the DP Handbook for Parents and Students (for DP applicants). This confirms agreement to school policies and expectations.
6. Enrollment and placement. A student is enrolled and registered after payment of the non-refundable registration fee. A child is placed in a grade after considering age, previous grade level, and emotional and physical maturity. All enrolled students are treated with equal rights.
7. Timelines and programme-specific deadlines. For MYP, the Application Form must be submitted by 30 April for a September start. For DP, entrance tests are administered in the second half of June; non-ISoB applicants take entrance examinations in English and Mathematics. Non-ISoB candidates may have language testing (e.g., interviews with a language teacher) to determine the appropriate level. Final placement decisions are made by the ISoB Principal.
