The International School of Poznan opened its doors on September 1, 2005, beginning with a small cohort of students. The institution is governed by the Foundation International School of Poznan, which serves as the official governing body. The Foundation's Management Board oversees the school's strategic vision and manages the financial and operational frameworks to secure its long-term future. Over time, the school has expanded into a larger campus accommodating over 600 students while remaining committed to its founding values.

Students participate in international initiatives such as the ISOP - Laar & Berg Student Exchange with the Netherlands, as well as sports events like the friendly badminton tournament with Wroclaw International School. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) functions as a central part of the community, comprising motivated parents dedicated to supporting students and teachers. The International School of Poznan (ISOP) is a co-educational day school located in Poznań, providing an inquiry-based education through the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. Serving students from primary through high school, ISOP offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). A distinctive element of the curriculum is the HS1 and HS2 "Pre-IB" phase, transitioning students from middle school into subject mastery in preparation for the DP. Another unique feature is the "O Class," a specialized one-year intensive program designed to help non-native English speakers integrate into high school.
