Wellbeing and Support

How students are nurtured, understood, and kept safe

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school prioritizes safety and well-being as essential to learning. Well-being screenings and early depression checks identify social and emotional concerns, enabling timely support. The Student Support Team (SST) includes counselors, psychologists, special education teachers, and speech therapists who provide counseling and resources. When assessments are available, an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) is created to address each student's needs and goals.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

The school offers Pedagogical Support Programs and access to a Special Education Needs Program. Pedagogical diagnoses, internal referrals, and cooperation with the Public Counselling Clinic support identification and planning. Programs include a Dyslexia Prevention Program, Speech Therapy Program, Multiple Intelligences orientation Program, and elements of sensory integration assessments at the Playschool level. Parents are offered tailored workshops and counseling services.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Supporting non-native English students in English as their Second Language ensures equal access to education, boosts academic success, and fosters confidence. It helps them integrate socially, enhancing friendships and classroom participation. Strong English skills open future opportunities, while diverse perspectives enrich learning for all. Providing ESL support and inclusive teaching helps every student thrive.

Mental Wellbeing

The school prioritizes the mental health of our students. Well-being screenings and early depression checks are designed to identify social and emotional concerns early. This proactive approach enables timely support, counseling, and resources to promote a positive and healthy school environment.

Safeguarding

The safeguarding framework is designed to protect students while fostering an atmosphere of trust and care throughout the school community. Clear policies, ongoing staff training, and open communication with students and families ensure every child feels valued and protected. Safeguarding is the foundation for every student to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
