The school comprises kindergarten, primary school, and lower and upper secondary education. It is staffed and financed by the Federal Republic of Germany and is the only German overseas school in Poland offering a German education pathway. Education follows German standards with curricula aligned to Baden-Württemberg and Thuringia; two tracks are offered: a German-language program and a Polish-language program (the International Department), with German language proficiency developed step by step toward the Abitur. A strong emphasis is placed on practical science learning, musical and athletic development through dedicated academies, and collaboration with the University of Warsaw.
The school develops musically and artistically through the WBS Music Academy. Students have opportunities to pursue artistic skills as part of the curriculum and through after-school art activities. Emphasis is placed on musical performance and artistic training through various programs.
German-Polish dialogue and intercultural understanding are central to the school's work. There are two tracks: a German-language program and a Polish-language program (the International Department), with German language skills built up progressively toward the German Abitur. All subjects are taught according to German Abitur requirements.
After-school care offers a wide range of activities beyond the regular curriculum. Playrooms are open until 18:00. Children may participate in sports, arts, music, technical, and other activity groups.
Career preparation is enhanced through internships and career development events. Students undertake practical experiences via internships and participate in career-development activities. Trips to Viadrina University in Frankfurt on the Oder and to the Federal Employment Agency in Berlin support career planning. These experiences supplement classroom learning and help students prepare for higher education and professional paths.

Willy-Brandt-Schule Warschau is a German-Polish encounter school in Warsaw, funded and staffed by the Federal Republic of Germany. It serves children aged 3 to 18, with a kindergarten, primary school and secondary levels I and II. The curriculum follows German general education standards and Abitur requirements based on Baden-Württemberg and Thuringia curricula. Two educational pathways are offered: a German-language program and the Polish-language 'Internationale Abteilung' where German language skills are built gradually toward the Abitur. The school is the only German Auslandsschule in Poland offering a German-system education. Instruction is delivered by native German-speaking staff and qualified local teachers. Since 2005 it operates under the Deutsch-Polnisches Schulabkommen as a joint educational institution. Notable features include practical science components, the WBS Music Academy, and athletic development through a Football Academy. A scientific cooperation with the University of Warsaw supports inquiry, internships and career events; after-school care provides a range of activities.
