Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

3 simple steps to enroll
Step 1. Submit Candidate Data Form. After initial approval, complete the Application Form along with other required documents. All documents should be sent by mail to the WIS Office or by email to the Admission Officer. Enrollment requires a non-refundable Application Fee; contact the school office for current fees. All documents must be in English; translations should be notarized.

Step 2. WIS administration reviews the application. Testing or screening may be arranged depending on submitted documents, the grade level, and language proficiency.

Step 3. Formal registration and Parent-School Contract signed. Class sizes are limited to 20 students per grade; capacity depends on classroom size. If space is not available, a child will be placed on a waiting list, and parents will be contacted if space becomes available. Placement decisions are made solely by the school administration and are non-negotiable.

Waitlist

The maximum number per grade level is dependent on the physical size of the classroom. At no given time will any class exceed 20 students. Children who cannot be accommodated in a particular grade will be placed on a waiting list. Parents will be contacted if space becomes available.

Wroclaw International School (WIS) offers a community-focused environment located on a purpose-built campus in the southern part of the city. As an authorized IB World School, it provides the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for children aged 4 to 11 and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for those aged 11 to 16. Learning is centered on inquiry-based methods where students are encouraged to connect different subject areas to real-world issues.A significant feature of the school is its "Wolves Athletic Program," which allows students to participate in inter-school sports competitions across Poland and Central Europe. For older students, the school ensures a seamless transition to its sister institution, the International High School of Wrocław, for the completion of the IB Diploma Programme. Facilities include specialized science labs, a dedicated international library, and an auditorium used for the school's "Winter WOW" concerts, which celebrate student talent in music and the performing arts.
