WIS is an IB World School and not-for-profit. It offers a continuum of IB programmes from Pre-School through Grade 10. Alumni can continue their IB Diploma Programme at the International High School of Wroclaw. The curricular framework emphasizes the development of communication, information, problem-solving, social, cooperative, self-management, and study skills.
Extra-curricular Activities include creative design, programming robots and coding, hand-building pottery, chess, dramatic arts, and street dance in PYP. In MYP, robotics, film design, pottery, weaving, and a rock band are offered. ECAs change each trimester to reflect student interests and are offered three times a year. ECAs are taught in English.
IB programmes are taught in English across PYP, MYP, and DP. Home-language activities may be offered within ECAs, reflecting cultural diversity. The school values multicultural diversity.
ECAs provide opportunities to socialise across grades, ages, and languages. The activities include a broad range of interests such as creative design, robotics, pottery, chess, dramatic arts, and street dance in PYP, and robotics, film design, pottery, weaving, and a rock band in MYP. ECAs are rotated each trimester and offered three times a year.
The WIS Parent–Teacher Association (PTA) brings together parents, teachers, and others to support learning and community. The PTA meets monthly at Coffee Mornings, has an elected board, and coordinates projects, social events, fundraising, and onboarding support for new families.
Student leadership is active through the Student Council, with elections held for positions such as President and Vice President (e.g., 2025). The PTA also provides governance-like leadership through its elected board and committees.
Wolves Athletic Program promotes fitness, healthy living, and teamwork as part of holistic education. The school offers a large gym with multiple courts and facilities for various sports. It supports participation in national and international tournaments and is part of PAAC, the Polish Athletic and Activities Conference.
Wroclaw International School (WIS) offers a community-focused environment located on a purpose-built campus in the southern part of the city. As an authorized IB World School, it provides the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for children aged 4 to 11 and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for those aged 11 to 16. Learning is centered on inquiry-based methods where students are encouraged to connect different subject areas to real-world issues.A significant feature of the school is its "Wolves Athletic Program," which allows students to participate in inter-school sports competitions across Poland and Central Europe. For older students, the school ensures a seamless transition to its sister institution, the International High School of Wrocław, for the completion of the IB Diploma Programme. Facilities include specialized science labs, a dedicated international library, and an auditorium used for the school's "Winter WOW" concerts, which celebrate student talent in music and the performing arts.
