Portugal
School operates year-round, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM; opening hours for the secretary are 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Application / enrolment fees
- A non‑refundable enrolment fee is required to formalise and reserve a place. For continuing students, re‑enrolment is formalised in February by payment of the School Insurance and at least one‑third (1/3) of the enrolment fee, with the remaining two‑thirds (2/3) payable in the following two months. For new admissions from 1 February, payment of the current year's enrolment fee (and the re‑enrolment fee for the following year where required) must be made as part of completing registration. Administrative fees for record transfers are charged when applicable.
Tuition fees by year group (amounts and per‑term detail)
- The school issues a current fee schedule that lists the Annual Fee, tuition (monthly/term) amounts by educational level, and which services are mandatory; those monetary figures are provided to parents in the school's active fee schedule rather than published as a public fee table. The school's fee structure includes mandatory items such as the Annual Fee, Enrolment Fee, School Insurance and ICT Educational Resources (from age 4 through Year 9). Parents receive the detailed pricing for each year group and for optional services in the current fee schedule and on the invoices they receive.
Billing schedule and payment terms
- Billing cadence: Monthly fee instalments are used for regular tuition; monthly payments are due by the 8th day of each month, except the September instalment, which is due by the 15th. Students who attend the school services during August (nursery to Year 4) pay an additional weekly fee for August services; the August weekly fee is set annually in the active price list. Student absences (justified or not) do not give the right to fee reductions. Students who enrol after September are charged a partial tuition fee calculated from the agreed entry month.
- Enrolment timing and payments: for continuing students the enrolment/re‑enrolment payments described above secure the place for the next school year and must be paid within the stated deadlines. If annual payments are made in 1, 2 or 3 instalments, any refund on early withdrawal is calculated on unused months (subject to the exceptions noted below).
Boarding fees
- Boarding is not offered; the school operates from nursery through Year 9 as a day school. Transport services are not run by the school (parents contract transport directly if a partner service is available).
Other compulsory or regularly charged items
- School Insurance: paid at registration and covering students 24 hours during the school year for school‑related accidents, commute between home and school, authorised trips, and specified liabilities; coverage limits are published in the school's insurance section and insurance is mandatory and charged upon enrolment.
- ICT Educational Resources: a mandatory charge applies from age 4 (Pre‑school) through Year 9 inclusive for use of educational ICT resources; this is listed among mandatory service charges.
- School uniform: uniform purchase is compulsory for all students; the school specifies the compulsory items but uniform pricing is provided through the school's supply channel rather than as part of a public tuition table.
- Extracurricular activities: each activity has its own monthly price; extracurriculars are billed monthly, begin in October and run to June; cancellation requires 15 days' notice and the current month's fee is not refundable once invoiced. Certain sports or competitive activities may require purchase of specific equipment.
- Cafeteria / meals: a meals service is available and billed separately; adjustments for absences during July/August follow the school's rules and minimum weekly charging may apply for summer weeks.
- Lockers: lockers are available to 2nd and 3rd cycle students; a refundable deposit of €20 is paid to obtain the locker key and will be refunded on return of the key if the locker is in good condition.
- Late‑collection charge: parents who cause the school to close outside normal hours will be charged an extra €20 per day.
Refund and withdrawal rules
- Enrolment and insurance fees paid at registration are non‑refundable in the event of withdrawal. Withdrawal of enrolment or registration during the academic year does not entitle parents to a refund of amounts already paid and does not exempt them from payment of outstanding instalments. For annual payments made in one, two or three instalments, refunds for unused months may be made on withdrawal, but such refunds are calculated net of any applicable early‑payment discounts and the July payment is treated under the school's specific rules (the July month is generally charged in full). Exceptions and specific refund calculations are managed according to the school's published terms and the active fee schedule.
Fee payment methods and practical instructions
- Accepted payment methods: payment may be made at the School Secretariat using the on‑site ATM/terminal, via the bank reference shown on the invoice, by education vouchers where applicable, or by bank transfer to the account specified on the invoice (parents should send proof of bank transfer to tesouraria@cesarioverde.com when required). The invoice/fee schedule will indicate the IBAN/account details for bank transfers. Non‑payment within the established deadline may lead to suspension of the student's attendance after formal notice.
Discounts and reductions that affect fees
- Sibling discount: a reduction applies to the tuition fee of the sibling enrolled at the lower level — 10% for the second child and 15% for the third child and subsequent children; other protocol/partner discounts may exist but are applied according to the school's terms and are not combinable with sibling reductions.
What is included in the school's fee framework
- The school classifies certain items as mandatory in the fee framework (Annual Fee, Enrolment Fee, School Insurance, ICT Educational Resources) and other services (extracurricular activities, meals, lockers, transport partnerships when available) are priced separately; parents are invoiced accordingly and the active fee schedule specifies which items are mandatory.
