All students aged 3, 4 and 5 have English classes. From nursery age to 2 years old, all students have weekly sessions in English, dance, music and visual expression activities. The teaching of English as a second language follows the Cambridge Assessment international curriculum. The Cambridge Assessment framework is used for English as a second language across the school's early years and primary levels.
Cesário Verde International School Portugal offers nursery through 9th grade in central Lisbon as part of the SEK/IES International Education Systems. The school follows the Portuguese Ministry of Education framework while delivering a bilingual experience from Kindergarten and introducing a second language from an early age. Learning is organized around collective, innovative, participatory and differentiated projects that foster collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving. Technology is embedded across lessons, with interactive whiteboards, iPads, robotics and programming materials, plus access to the IXL online platform.
