EGI integrates wellbeing into the Cambridge International Curriculum through Project-Based Learning, focusing on emotional awareness and intelligence, social awareness, and personal development. The wellbeing of every child is important, with daily check-ins by teachers to support social, emotional, and developmental needs. Wellbeing is a priority for the entire community, underpinning interactions and learning. The curriculum emphasises respect for self and others, collaboration, and resilience as core outcomes. The use of English as a common language supports inclusive communication for multilingual learners.

EGI International, formerly Jill's Place, offers a Cambridge International Curriculum for Early Years and Primary to children from 18 months to 11 years. Since September 2025, teaching spaces moved from Carcavelos to Fundição de Oeiras, with plans to relocate to purpose-built premises in Barcarena-Oeiras in the near future. The school provides English-language instruction and a home-away-from-home, child-centred learning environment. A Project-Based Learning approach develops practical understanding and problem solving. EGI's history traces back to 2005, when Jill's Place began, inspired by a concept from 1989 during an exchange in rural Portugal, and expanded in 1996. In September 2028, a group of parents plans a campus expansion under the EGI name while preserving the same values. The program runs from 18 months to 11 years, and includes Music, Art and PE in the timetable, with after-school activities such as Portuguese, swimming and creative or contemporary dance to broaden experience for students.
