Resources and spaces that support learning and development

Facilities Overview

The facilities consist of 7000 sqm of private gardens and wooded areas to enjoy the outdoors. Students spend 3+ hours a day outdoors for lunch, play, and learning. Meals are thoughtfully prepared to provide essential nutrition, with a lunch that starts with a soup and includes a balanced main course, and a zero sugar (or minimal, if needed) policy for the catering company. A free van service provides transportation to and from Cascais, certified, licensed, inspected, and fully insured, with September 2024 pickup from a central location in Cascais at 07:50 and drop-off at 16:30. After-school services are offered with a variety of activities in the after-care program, many of them free of charge.

Academic Facilities

Pre-primary uses Forest School, Reggio Emilia, and Montessori pedagogy, with a Sensory Room/Zen Zone and a Creative Studio. In primary, the Cambridge International curriculum framework provides the academic foundation, complemented by specialist subjects such as music, physical education, and art, many taught in Portuguese. Indoor classrooms are equipped with quality resources, and primary includes a weekly Forest School/Horticulture session. Nature immersion remains a cornerstone of the curriculum, with projects and activities that address environmental themes and sustainability. The learning model blends inquiry-based approaches with project-based activities to foster critical thinking and 21st-century skills.

Extra-Curricular Activities

After-school services are available with a variety of activities, many free of charge. The outdoor setting includes 7000 sqm of gardens and woodland for daily outdoor time, and weekly Forest School sessions are part of the curriculum in both pre-primary and primary. The location offers outdoor experiences such as hiking, walking trails, surfing, and paddleboarding, complementing classroom learning and nature immersion.
