The school teaches English, French and Portuguese by immersion.
The school runs three types of extra-curricular activities outside the school day: breakfast club from 8:15 to 9:00 am, after-school care from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, and after-school clubs from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. These activities are optional and operate independently from the school day. The clubs' offerings change from year to year to reflect the educational philosophy and the wishes of parents and pupils.
Situated in Lisbon's Restelo district, L'École Trilingue serves pupils aged 2 to 11 with a trilingual immersion programme in English, French and Portuguese. The school follows the French curriculum for the Early Years Foundation Stage, organized around five areas of learning: language, physical and artistic expression, thinking and learning tools, and world exploration. Portuguese is taught daily for 30-45 minutes, and the school day is split between English and French instruction. The teaching is accredited by the French Ministry for Education and certified by the Portuguese Ministry, reflecting a cross-border partnership with France and Portugal and linking to the sister school in London. Housed in a refurbished 1940s building, classrooms are bright and arranged to support group work, personalised teaching, and sensorial exploration. A large garden supports biodiversity education and offers a Pre-nursery zone for 2-3 year olds. Breakfast and after-school care run beyond hours; offerings vary yearly in Lisbon.
