Resources and spaces that support learning and development

Facilities Overview

LFIP Porto has a campus with an on-site dining facility, a major library and documentation center, and health services for students. The Marmothèque and the CDI provide reading, research and multimedia resources for students from primary through lycée and are accessible during free time, recess, and lunch. A school transport service operates in partnership with TRANSVIAGENS, with nearby Porto municipal bus lines and a dedicated transport contact. A campus map and a video presentation showcase the facilities. The cafeteria serves balanced meals prepared on-site by Eurest, with menus reviewed by a restoration commission and published for families.

Academic Facilities

The CDI - Centre de Documentation et d'Information is the school's documentation and information center and library, managed by a librarian. It serves students from CM2 through Terminale and all staff and is available during free time, recess, and lunch to work, read, search for information, produce documents, and borrow items. The CDI's collection includes novels, tales, albums, comics, magazines, books and documentary films, mostly in French and Portuguese, with some in English. The CDI's online database is accessible via E-sidoc, and regular pedagogical sessions are organized under the librarian. The CDI features a computer lab with seven computers, one printer and a projector, and hosts author visits and other cultural events. The Marmothèque serves as the primary school library, with weekly activities for cycles 1–3 and borrowing rights starting in MS.

There is a strong emphasis on Portuguese language and history, alongside a progressive approach that combines active learning, collaboration, critical thinking, and real‑world applications. LFIP offers a distinctive global network and individualized student support. Facilities include on‑site dining, a major library and documentation center (CDI), health services, and school transport.
