Languages taught include French, Portuguese, English, German, and Spanish. The lycée employs 4 French teachers, 4 Portuguese teachers, 3 English teachers, 2 German teachers, and 2 Spanish teachers. Certifications in English, Spanish, German, and Portuguese are available, aligned to CECR levels A1 to C2. CECR is used to guide language learning and assessment.
A Baccalauréat Section Européenne Anglais is offered. The European section has three objectives: to improve students' English language skills; to acquire new competencies by teaching non-language subjects (Life Sciences and Economics & Social Sciences) in English; and to open to international dialogue and mobility. From Seconde, students receive 1 hour of English and 1 hour of SVT or SES taught in English, for a total of seven hours of English-language instruction per week. The diploma carries the European English section designation in addition to the student's ES or S series, combining the French baccalauréat with courses taught in English. Admission requires a solid English foundation and an interest in the sciences; students must be motivated and prepared for a heavier workload.
Language certifications are CECR-aligned in English, Spanish, German, and Portuguese. The official bodies are Cambridge English for English, Instituto Cervantes for Spanish, Goethe-Institut for German, and CAPLE for Portuguese. A free language-preparation session is offered on Wednesdays from 13:45 to 15:45, and the annual exam success rate for enrolled students is about 91%.
