St James' Primary School in Cascais, Portugal, teaches British Curriculum with bilingualism in Portuguese and English. The school serves children aged 6 to 12 and follows the English National Curriculum, with core subjects including English, Portuguese, Mathematics and Sciences, complemented by English Literature, a Foreign Language, Geography and History. Arts are integrated to develop intellectual, moral and aesthetic growth through music, drama and visual arts, while parental involvement is encouraged. The aim is to prepare bilingual pupils who combine humanistic culture with scientific, technological and artistic knowledge to become responsible citizens. Small classes, taught by qualified staff in English and Portuguese, ensure time is divided equally between the two languages and curricula. The campus includes a building, dining room and classrooms, with sports facilities and outdoor spaces. Extra activities include Summer School and field trips such as Conímbriga. The school has links with St George's School for Years 8–10 progression.
