The school requires students to wear the full and correct uniform for school and all school-related activities, including field trips. The PE uniform is worn during PE classes or activities, and all uniform pieces must be labeled with the student's name for easy identification. Hair must be well-groomed; hair coloring is not allowed; only one pair of simple earrings is allowed; a simple wristwatch is allowed; and chains, rings, bracelets or other adornments are not permitted.
The school is governed by a Board Of Advisors, whose members include campus principals and external professionals. The Board of Advisors for Al Manar International School includes the Al-Thameed principal and the Al-Dafna principal, among others, indicating cross-campus governance. The AMIS group operates at least two campuses (Al Thamed and Al Dafna).
