Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

Step 1. Visit by Parents/Guardians. Parents/guardians initiate the admissions process by contacting the school secretary on 44980124 to arrange a tour of the school. The first visit helps parents understand the school, meet staff, and see other children and their workbooks. Prospective students are then invited to meet with a member of the school team for an assessment visit, which may be conducted in a group or individually depending on the entry grade. The school admits students on a non-discriminatory basis, without regard to race, colour, nationality, family orientation, or ethnic origin.

Step 2. Registration. For Doha-based families, complete Registration Admission with a photograph attached and copies of passport, ID card and health/immunisation records. Pay the non-refundable registration fee. Current and previous year's transcripts, as well as school records from the current school, are sent directly from the current school.

Step 3. Entrance Assessment. Students are invited to attend AGS to complete the entrance assessment for the appropriate year group, with the assessment led by the teacher responsible for that year group when possible. If relocation outside Doha makes in-person assessment difficult, a phone or video conference may be arranged, or admission may be offered on the basis of the application and teacher evaluations and records from the current school. Final admissions decisions rest with the Principal and the school admissions committee. Parents are usually notified within 48 hours if accepted and must complete health forms, bus forms if applicable, and pay the uniform, book, and tuition fees.

Awfaz Global School (AGS) in Qatar offers a British‑curriculum education from early years through the upper level. Established in 2010 as a group of homegrown schools, AGS aims to provide quality international education to local families and residents, delivered in a secure, caring, inclusive, child‑centred environment that builds confidence beyond academics. The curriculum combines English schooling with Arabic language and culture and Islamic lessons, beginning with the English Early Years Foundation Stage and continuing through Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. In years 10–12 students prepare for Cambridge IGCSE exams, with external UK assessments offered in January and June. The upper school provides career and university planning guidance. The Izghawa Campus offers spacious classrooms, advanced science and technology laboratories, well‑designed libraries and high‑quality sports fields, with a campus planned for 2029. The school emphasizes community involvement, mental health support and lifelong learning, and runs extra‑curricular activities, including robotics and leadership events.
