Newton International Academy, Lusail opened in August 2025 as part of the Newton Group of Schools to provide a British curriculum from Early Years Foundation 1 through to Years 12 and 13. The academy embodies the Newton Group's vision of 'an international community of learners striving for excellence and celebrating success.' Its development is guided by the founding chairman, Dr Jabr Al-Noaimi. Michael Wilson serves as the founding Principal, bringing extensive senior leadership experience to the campus.
The Lusail campus offers a British curriculum enriched by Qatar's culture, faith, and values, with emphasis on Arabic language and Qatari national identity. The school describes a supportive community that celebrates diversity and encourages social responsibility. A range of events and activities bring students, families, and staff together, including occasions such as World Mental Health Day, Odd Socks Day, Kindness Week, and Teachers' Day celebrations. Inter-Newton Spelling Bee competitions are among the student activities that engage multiple Newton campuses.
The PTA at NIA Lusail is an active body, formally known as Parents as Partners, and it meets regularly to support teaching and learning as well as school events. Parents liaise with the Student Council and may participate as external speakers or help organise school trips. Parents also help create links with the wider community and organisations in Qatar. PTA involvement includes coordinating volunteers for events and activities, supporting after-school programs, and contributing to community outreach initiatives. As the school grows, the PTA expands opportunities for parental involvement across grade levels.
