Newton Group of Schools was established in 2006. NIA Smash was established in August 2020. NIA Smash was founded by Dr Jabr Al Noaimi and Mrs Afaf Al Ma'adeed, whose leadership shaped its mission. The school delivers the British Curriculum from Early Years through secondary, with a strong Arabic Studies program and a focus on character education.
NIA Smash presents itself as a safe, vibrant, aspirational learning community with strong pastoral care, visible leadership, and a positive partnership with parents. The school emphasizes an international community and values diversity and social responsibility. The events calendar includes World Cup Sports Event, Sports Day, ECAs, Science Week, and cultural celebrations such as Garangao and International Day. Coffee Morning events and other activities illustrate ongoing community engagement.
The Parent Teacher Association at NIA Smash focuses on strengthening parent involvement in education. Regular meetings are held throughout the year to grow membership, solicit parental input, and collect feedback. The PTA actively participates in organizing events such as the World Cup Sports Event, Sports Day, Attendance Party, ECAs, Science Week, Secret Reader, Stay and Play, Garangao celebrations, and International Day. Community engagement is fostered through Coffee Morning events hosted for parents to connect with classrooms and share feedback. The PTA works in partnership with school leaders to support the schools vision and mission and to promote student wellbeing.
