NAISAK was established in January 2012. The school now hosts around 1,200 students from 45 countries. It delivers a British-international education for students aged 3 to 18. NAISAK is part of the Nord Anglia Education family, gaining access to world-leading collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, and UNICEF. Following the English National Curriculum, NAISAK operates in Al Khor, about a 20-minute drive from central Doha via the direct coastal road.
The NAISAK community is international, with students representing more than 45 nationalities. The school highlights community and family engagement through events and cultural activities, including a 2024 International Family Day. NAISAK hosted the International Family Day in June 2024, featuring performances such as the Qatar Sword Dance, Bollywood Divas, Palestinian spoken word, a flag parade, and cultural games, and it brought together students, parents, staff, and the wider community. The day was revived after COVID restrictions and was praised by participants for its energy and inclusive spirit.
NAISAK does not publish a separate PTA page in its public materials; parent engagement is described through the Parent Essentials hub, school news, and events. The school notes active parent participation in events organized by dedicated committees, such as the International Day Committee that has worked to make NAISAK's cultural celebrations a success. An example of parent and community involvement is the International Family Day, organized with staff and broader community participation in 2024. The Young Entrepreneur of the Year (YEY!) Award in 2024 shows collaboration with families and the local business community, illustrating how NAISAK engages parents and outside partners in student opportunities. NAISAK also provides channels for family involvement via the Parent Essentials calendar, communications, and the school app for notifications and resources. The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award is listed among extracurricular activities that involve families and students, reflecting a broader ecosystem of family engagement.
