Admissions

How to apply, waitlist information, and financial support

Admissions Process

Step 1 — Initial Application. Applications must be made through the Apply Now section. The school responds to all applicants via the email address provided with the application, so ensure you provide a valid address that can receive messages from parkhouseschool.com. Admissions for AY 2026–2027 will open in December for the following September.

Step 2 — Documentation and Fees. Selected applicants may be invited to provide further documentation and payment within five days; only those invited to provide documents are considered further. The documents requested include an application fee of QR 230, a copy of the child's final report from the last academic year plus interim reports in English, a copy of the child's Qatar residence permit (if available) and copies of both parents' Qatar residence permits (if available), any reports relating to additional needs, and a completed language information form. The school reviews the materials once received.

Step 3 — Waiting List. If the initial application is successful, the child is added to the waiting list for the relevant year group. Should places become available, all children on the waiting list for that year group are considered and selected children are invited to attend an entrance assessment. Special Educational Needs: the school cannot offer admission to children with certain learning/behavioural difficulties as it cannot provide the required level of support.

Step 4 — Assessments/Interviews. When inviting a child to take an entrance assessment the school aims to give a minimum of three days' notice. If you decline, the application is removed from the waiting list and will not be reconsidered in the same academic year; to be considered for the following year you would need to reapply. Early Years assessments are conducted in small groups and last about 30 minutes. Year 1: an individual GL assessment focusing on literacy and numeracy. Year 2 and Year 3: a cognitive ability test (CAT) and a short English writing assignment. Year 4 to Year 12: a CAT plus a short writing and reading assignment in English. Year 12 (Sixth Form): a minimum of five passes at IGCSE/GCSE, including English and Maths; for AS/A level subjects a minimum grade of B is expected; places are offered to external applicants subject to reports and an interview; offers are conditional on achieving the required grades and are confirmed after results are issued.

Step 5 — Offer of a Place. Successful applicants receive a formal offer by email, and parents must provide colour copies of specified documents along with payment within 10 days to secure the place. The required documents include Birth Certificate, passport page, child's passport information page, Qatar ID for the child and sponsor, a letter of employment, vaccination records for Nursery/Reception/Year 1, registration fee (QR 3,453), and an advance deposit (QR 2,302) for new entrants. If starting at the beginning of the autumn term, advance deposit is deducted from the first invoice; if starting midterm, full term fees are due before the first day. Current MoE regulations apply; parents are responsible for ensuring the correct year group is selected. Admissions for transfers within Qatar are authorized up to the end of January. International students joining Year 2 and above from outside Qatar must provide current school reports with the official stamp. All students' transfers are subject to MoE approval and may result in withdrawal of the offer if not approved.

Waitlist

The waiting list operates when places are not immediately available. If an initial application is successful, the child is added to the waiting list for the relevant year group. If places become available, all children on the waiting list for that year group are considered and selected children are invited to attend an entrance assessment.
