Spectra Global School was founded in 2015 in Doha, Qatar. It is a private, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) accredited school located near Tawar Mall in Duhail. The Foundation Stage curriculum is based on the UK's Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the Primary curriculum follows the Cambridge International Education (CIE) program. All teachers are fully qualified and approved by the Ministry of Education & Higher Education of Qatar. The school supports student leadership through a Student Council.
The SGS community follows a Cambridge-based curriculum with a positive learning environment and compulsory extracurricular activities integrated into the timetable. The school maintains a Student Council that engages students in leadership and coordinates activities such as Qatar History projects and Qatar National Day celebrations. A 2024–2025 academic calendar and events listing show regular community and school-wide events. Families are engaged through informal gatherings and school gates meetings to discuss learning and progress.
Parent engagement is described through informal events rather than a formal PTA. The Principal, Ms. Lisa Rosser, plans to hold multiple coffee mornings/afternoons in Term 1 to meet parents and build home–school partnerships. She will be available at the school gates at the start and end of the day to converse with families and welcome feedback. There is a Student Council as a student-led body coordinating activities (distinct from a PTA). Extracurricular activities are compulsory and integrated into the timetable, providing structured opportunities for family involvement in ECAs. Public calendars show events such as Qatar History project and Qatar National Day within Student Council activities.
