The SABIS® Student Life Organization (SLO) is the heart of the school and a student‑led mini‑society that integrates academic and social activities into the timetable through a weekly SLO period. The Academic Department implements peer tutoring, academic competitions, study groups, and shadow teaching to build students' confidence in learning and develop academic skills. Through these activities, students develop leadership, problem‑solving, critical thinking, organization, resilience, independence, empathy, communication, collaboration, and accountability. The SLO comprises nine departments: Academic, Discipline, Management, Sports, Wellness, Activities, Outreach, Lower School, and Social Responsibility.
Music, Theater & Arts programs allow students to explore talents and develop important life skills. Beginning in Kindergarten through Upper School, students receive instruction in art and music and gain performance experience through stage work and choir, with opportunities to shine in art competitions and other performances. The programs develop creativity and self‑expression and provide numerous opportunities to experience the joy of expressing themselves through music, art, and theater.
Sports represent an integral part of ISC‑Doha. After‑school sports, family events, international competitions, and summer camps are offered for athletes at all levels. Clubs and activities include arts and crafts, dance, ballet, chess, choir, debating, drama, film, IT, drumming, and science; sports clubs include badminton, basketball, golf, gymnastics, soccer, swimming, tennis, track and field/cross country, and volleyball.
The Social Responsibility Department motivates and inspires students to give back to their community through charitable and environmental projects.
Leadership is a core life skill developed through SLO, with emphasis on leadership, problem‑solving, sociability, critical thinking, organization, independence, empathy, and communication. The SLO period is integrated into students' schedules, bringing many activities into the classroom for the benefit of all students.
The Wellness Department promotes a healthy lifestyle and sponsors campaigns to support physical and mental wellbeing. The Sports Department promotes fitness and organized sport opportunities, including afterschool activities and events throughout the year.
