The Phoenix Private School was established in 2013 and follows the English National Curriculum from the Foundation Stage through Key Stage 3. The school emphasizes the holistic development of students' mental, physical, and emotional well-being and aspires to be a visionary school in the State of Qatar, setting high standards for quality education. A team of UK and internationally qualified educators supports an inclusive environment that welcomes students from diverse backgrounds, including those needing additional SEN support, and PPS holds an SEC Education License. Read Write Inc., a synthetic phonics literacy program, is part of the school's literacy initiatives.
The PPS community hosts regular events that engage students, families, and staff, such as Autism Awareness Month, a PPS Talent Show, and basketball competitions. Assemblies and the Student Council provide opportunities for student leadership, with a Head Boy and Head Girl and student representatives from across year groups. Parent engagement is evident through activities such as Coffee Mornings with the Principal and Read Write Parents' workshop sessions.
The Phoenix Private School PTA exists to provide closer links between home and school and to bring staff, parents, and friends together in support of the school. All parents are members, and the PTA's work underpins the school by enabling financial support that enriches the learning environment. The PTA is led by a Head of PTA and Co-Chairs; current leadership includes Asmaa El Naggar as Head of PTA and Sumaira Yousaf as Head of PTA, with other members such as Reham Omar serving as Co-Chair and Hind Mahgoub as a member. Additional PTA members include Nermin Medhat Mostafa, Rawan El-Taweel, Amira Shoeib, Shatha Al Ani, Ayesha Saqib, Hafsa Malik, Warda Ahmed, and others. PTA activities and school news document events such as Coffee Mornings with the Principal and Read Write Parents' workshop, illustrating ongoing parent involvement. The PTA is described as an essential part of the school, underpinning its community through parent engagement and support.
