The school requires all students to wear the official VIS uniform. The uniform can be sourced from Edumax, the official supplier, but purchasing from Edumax is not mandatory. The Edumax store is located on campus (boys' side, basement, Room B0-09) and currently opens on Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
VIS provides food service via a trusted vendor. During breaks, students can purchase a variety of warm and cold foods and drinks in the cafeteria; parents may also send packed lunches. Carbonated drinks and high-sugar beverages are prohibited on campus.
Pupils are allocated to a House, and each House has a color. A few days each year are designated for House Competition Days.
The school is owned by the Almuftah Group. Its governance model has been developed with International Schools Services (ISS), a member of the Council for International Schools (CIS). VIS operates as part of the Almuftah Group's education portfolio.
