Vision International School opened in September 2014 with 225 students in Pre-K through Grade 8. It is owned and operated by the Almuftah Group in partnership with International School Services (ISS) and is located in Al Wakrah, near Doha. The school delivers an American international curriculum supplemented by Arabic language, Qatar History, and Islamic Studies; in the lower grades, classes are co-educational, while from Grade 1 upward they are single-gender. The campus was purpose-built to support growth, and VIS now serves Pre-K through Grade 12 with over 1,200 students. NEASC accreditation was awarded in March 2023 and VIS is endorsed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education; it is a member of the Council for International Schools (CIS).
The VIS community is diverse and centers on character development and global citizenship. It marks cultural and national occasions such as Garangao (2025) and Qatar National Day with assemblies, performances, and traditional activities. The school hosts college fairs and supports college and career readiness through visits by universities and agencies. After-school activities extend learning beyond the classroom, and parents engage through VISPA and events such as Parent Café.
VISPA is the Parent Association at Vision International School. VISPA provides a platform for parents to engage with school leadership, share feedback, and discuss matters related to student learning. VISPA organizes events and workshops, including Nearpod Workshop and VISPA Workshop, and facilitates Parent Café sessions. Parent input is documented through meeting minutes and is accessible to the community. Regular updates appear in School News & Updates and on the calendar, including the 2025-2026 calendar.
