Facilities Overview

AISB operates on a 10-hectare campus on Pipera Bd. The campus includes a modern Early Learning Center opened in 2017, an extended Secondary School, and a Design and Innovation Center. AISB serves students from EC2 through Grade 12 and welcomes families from over 60 nationalities. The facilities include science labs, arts spaces, sports fields, and more. AISB is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program, and Diploma Program.

Sports Facilities

The campus includes sports fields as part of its facilities. AISB has an Athletic Director and a Co-curricular Activities Coordinator overseeing athletics and activities. Athletics and other co-curricular programs are organized through the Athletics & Activities team. The campus features sports complexes as part of its facilities, showcased in AISB's offerings.

Academic Facilities

Extra-Curricular Activities

Athletics & Activities are managed by AISB's Athletics & Activities team. An Athletic Director and a Co-curricular Activities Coordinator oversee these programs. Service Learning projects are part of AISB's extracurricular offerings. The Terry Fox Run supports cancer research in Romania. The AISB Scholarship Program provides scholarships to qualifying students entering the 9th grade.

AISB is a not-for-profit international school in Bucharest offering the International Baccalaureate across all grade levels. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is used in the early years, followed by the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for grades 6–10 and the Diploma Programme (DP) for grades 11–12. The school is authorized to deliver the MYP and DP, and it also awards a U.S. High School Diploma to students who meet the required credits, through NEASC accreditation. Founded in 1962 by the U.S. Embassy to serve the diplomatic community, AISB now serves 1000+ students from over 60 nationalities on a 10-hectare campus opened in 2001. The campus includes a modern Early Learning Center, a Design and Innovation Center, science labs, arts spaces, and extensive sports facilities. The school runs service learning, CEESA- and ISTA-participation, and a broad co-curricular program that includes bands, robotics, theatre, MUN, and community service.
