In 2001, Olga Gudynn Int'l School set up the first nursery in Bucharest for 45 children. In 2005, Olga Gudynn Int'l School in Pipera was inaugurated for 30 children, and in 2007 it moved to a larger building near the Baneasă Forest. In September 2011, the school expanded into a new building, creating spaces for 135 students. Since 2014, OGIS has hosted over 600 students from different nationalities, offering scholarships to deserving students and prizes for excellence each year. In 2011, Olga Gudynn Int'l School obtained national accreditation from the Ministry of National Education, and the organization carries out partnerships and exchanges with UNESCO, Erasmus+, and institutions in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the USA and other countries.
OGIS has a warm and inclusive community made up of students and teachers from over 25 nationalities. The programme blends academic knowledge with human values, including co-curricular activities, personal development programmes, environmental projects, and UNESCO international initiatives. OGIS is UNESCO-affiliated and a Premium Plus Member of the British Council Exams Partnership Programme. The school maintains an international network of partnerships with UNESCO, Erasmus+ and international partner schools.
Olga Gudynn International School (OGIS) is a Romania-based educational group serving ages 2 to 18 with three internationally recognised pathways: the Romanian National Curriculum taught bilingual English, the Cambridge International Curriculum, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). The Cambridge pathway unfolds as Cambridge Primary (Years 1–6), Lower Secondary (7–9), IGCSE (10–11), and Cambridge International AS & A Levels (12–13). The Romanian National Curriculum provides a solid academic foundation aligned with the Ministry of Education, preparing students for the Romanian Baccalaureate and university study. The IB DP offers a rigorous programme for Years 12 and 13, including Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service components. OGIS is UNESCO-affiliated, accredited by the Romanian Ministry of Education, and authorised by Cambridge and the IB for the Diploma Programme.
