Al-Rowad International Schools were established at the beginning of the 1999/2000 academic year (1420/1421 AH) in Riyadh. The founder of Arrowad Group, Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al Khalaf, established Al-Rowad International Schools, and the school is part of the Arrowad Group's education network. Over the years AIS expanded its facilities and program offerings, incorporating both the British Curriculum Framework and the American Diploma system to address evolving student needs. Initiatives such as Tahfeeth programs and other extracurricular activities were introduced to enrich the educational experience, with emphasis on academic pursuits, enrichment activities, and community service. AIS celebrated 25 years of excellence in 2024.
