AISJ delivers an authentic American international education based on the American Education Reaches Out (AERO) standards. The school offers an Advanced Placement (AP) pathway with courses across multiple subjects, including AP Capstone and the AP International Diploma (APID). AP exams are offered in about 25 subjects. The curriculum is standards-based and supports college readiness, with assessments such as MAP, PSAT, and SAT.

AISJ represents a diverse community with 68 nationalities. An English Language Learning (ELL) program is available to support scholars who need help with English. Scholars are expected to be proficient in conversational English and the academic language used in the curriculum.

AISJ's campus features athletic facilities including two gymnasiums, indoor and outdoor tracks, a full-length soccer field, a shaded swimming pool, an aerobics room, and tennis courts.
