Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

Beech Hall School Riyadh was established as part of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City's International Schools Attraction Program, created to bring premium international schools to the capital in partnership with the Ministry of Investment and Ministry of Education. It operates as a branch of Beech Hall School in Cheshire, United Kingdom, which was founded in 1926 and is known for its innovative educational approach. The Riyadh campus blends elements of the UK curriculum with an international perspective while incorporating Arabic and Islamic Studies to reflect local context. It is a non-profit project aimed at enriching education for students in Riyadh. Beech Hall Riyadh currently offers Nursery through Grade 11, with Grade 12 planned to open in the 2026/2027 academic year.

Community

Beech Hall School Riyadh identifies itself as nurturing a diverse, inclusive and global school community in which Saudi and non-Saudi children learn together in a climate of respect, curiosity and belonging. The school emphasises personalised Learning Journeys and aims to foster a vibrant, supportive community for families from around the world. Community events include regular open days and coffee mornings to connect families with staff, along with cultural observances and school traditions such as Ramadan and Saudi Founding Day. A pastoral team provides student wellbeing support, counseling and guidance as part of the school's community framework.

Parent-Teacher Association

A Parent Champions Association is planned for Beech Hall School Riyadh to foster strong partnerships between the school and its parents. The association will offer a platform for parents to collaborate with educators, share feedback and ideas, and contribute to school initiatives. It is described as preparing to engage parents in events, volunteer opportunities and fundraising activities. Although not yet launched, the initiative signals an emphasis on family involvement and collaboration in the school's educational program. When established, the Parent Champions Association will help coordinate parent input at Open Days, information sessions and other community activities, and will support fundraising and resource-enhancement efforts.
