Buckswood Riyadh is the Saudi Arabian campus of Buckswood Global Education, whose origins trace back to Buckswood School near Crawley in East Sussex, founded in 1933. The Buckswood brand expanded internationally from 2009, opening Buckswood School Tbilisi in Georgia, followed by Buckswood School Nigeria, forming a global network. The Riyadh campus represents the brand's latest expansion, with Buckswood Riyadh Education School Co. LLC established to operate kindergarten through secondary levels. The company was formed with a capital of SAR 100,000, with 80% owned by Ataa Educational Company and 20% by Buckswood Global Education; the license to operate Buckswood Riyadh was issued on August 1, 2024. Operations in Riyadh were inaugurated on May 12, 2025, by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City in the presence of the British Ambassador, marking Buckswood's first British school operating in Riyadh under the Global Schools Attraction Program aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
