International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) was established in 1969 by the Indian community in Jeddah, originally operating as the Embassy of India School, Jeddah. The Girls' Section expansion began in 1982 with the foundation stone laid by Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and was completed in 1984. The Boys' Section was started in 1992 and completed in 1994. In 2011 a KG Section was added, followed by another expansion in 2016. It is part of the Global Indian Schools network; the Indian Ambassador serves as Patron and the Indian Consulate provides an Observer, and the school is CBSE-affiliated.
IISJ serves the children of Indian nationals in Jeddah, with the Girls' Section in Al-Azizia and the Boys' Section in Al-Rehab. The school has a large student body, historically around 12,000 students, and publishes Vista as its school publication. Club activities and events—such as Gandhi Jayanti, Hindi Storytelling, Healthy Food Day, Teacher's Day, Earth Day, Labour Day, and Saudi National Day—are organized to reflect a vibrant school life.
The school is governed by a Managing Committee headed by Dr. Mohammad Aslam Khan. The committee includes members such as Syed Nayeemuddin, Mohammad Rashid, Fadil Ahmed Palayatt, Dr. Sabna Kotta, and Dr. Mohammed Asif Khan.
