The school offers the English National Curriculum alongside the Cambridge Curriculum, tailored to RGSR and the Saudi context. The curriculum is developed with input from Reigate Grammar School UK to ensure high-quality learning experiences that foster intellectual independence and transferable skills. In the Secondary School, students study toward IGCSE and A‑Level qualifications, providing access to universities worldwide.
The school provides dedicated Music and Art rooms and employs specialist teachers for music. The broad after-school program includes ECAs in music, sport, languages, technology, cookery and the creative arts. Older students may participate in residential and overseas trips, along with day visits connected to curriculum topics.
Arabic is a core part of the curriculum and all students receive Arabic language lessons in line with Ministry of Education standards. French can be studied alongside Arabic as an option, and LOTE classrooms include Arabic, Islamic Studies and French. Islamic Studies is available to Muslim students, and Kingdom History and Geography are taught from the Prep School upwards. The Arabic Centre of Excellence is a new initiative to enhance Arabic language education.
The ECA program includes music, sport, languages, technology, cookery and the creative arts, with after-school activities. Older students can take part in residential and overseas trips, and all students have day visits across Riyadh connected to curriculum topics. The House System reinforces community and provides opportunities for students to develop teamwork and interpersonal skills through year-round house events.
The school has an Executive Head Teacher, an Education Director, a School Improvement Partner, a Head of Senior School, and a Head of Prep School. These leaders oversee the school's strategy, curriculum development, and operational performance.
Pastoral Care And Wellbeing describes RGSR as a safe, nurturing environment with safeguarding at its core and a focus on physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Safeguarding training is provided to volunteers, ECA providers, and external visitors, with ongoing staff training to ensure child protection. Colour coded lanyards are used to identify people on campus and aid safety. The Grove is an outdoor space that supports campus life, and ECAs run after the school day until 3:00 pm.
