French and English are taught. In the classical section, the French curriculum from CP to CM2 is taught with four weekly English sessions. In the bilingual section from Petite Section to CM2, the program is taught equally in French and English, with two teachers and two linguistic contexts.
From Petite Section to CM2, the bilingual section uses a bi-curricular approach that combines the best of French and American programs. The program is taught equally in French and English, with two teachers in each bilingual class. Students are thus exposed to two linguistic and cultural universes.
Ecole Actuelle Bilingue (EAB) is a private international school in Dakar, Senegal, within La Cité Scolaire Internationale (CSI). The campus network includes Campus Corniche Ouest and Campus Ngor, serving Petite Section through CM2 with distinct French and bilingual programs. EAB offers three pathways: the classic French track (CP–CM2) aligned with the French national curriculum and enriched by four English sessions per week; the bilingual track (Nursery–CM2) taught equally in French and English by two teachers per class; and an alternative Relai track for learners with identified difficulties, providing an individualized program and psychological support. The school participates in the AEFE network, is recognized by the Senegalese Ministry of National Education, and the classical section is homologated by the French Ministry of National Education. CSI promotes multilingualism and multiculturalism and aims to prepare students for study in international institutions. Extracurricular activities run daily, and the Parent Association (APE) supports school projects and events.
