Extra-Curricular Activities

Clubs, activities, and opportunities to explore interests and passions

Academic and Intellectual

Enrichment Classes are held during childcare hours at EtonHouse Newton Pre-School and include Robotics in Motion, Lego Robotics, Chinese Speech and Drama, and Public Speaking. Robotics in Motion introduces coding through LEGO models and hands-on exploration, while Lego Robotics extends building and problem-solving with themed challenges. Chinese Speech and Drama develops Mandarin language skills through stories, role-play and props, and Public Speaking builds early confidence in communication. These experiences complement the IB framework by providing practical, inquiry-based learning opportunities.

Arts and Creative

Chinese Speech and Drama is offered as part of the enrichment program to develop Mandarin language skills through character roles, storytelling and props. The campus also supports performing arts through the Outdoor Piazza, a space for music, dance and drama. These spaces provide opportunities for creativity and self-expression beyond the classroom.

Cultural and Language

Immersive language programmes operate in English and Mandarin, with a Japanese programme delivered by an in-house specialist. ZhongHua Full Mandarin Immersion offers a full Mandarin inquiry-based curriculum for Pre-Nursery and Nursery 1. The school has an international community with families from over 20 countries, supporting multicultural awareness.

Social and Hobbies

Enrichment classes include Football (N2–K2), Duplo and Lego-based activities, Chinese Speech and Drama, and Public Speaking (N2–K2). Football fosters movement and teamwork, while Duplo/Lego activities support fine motor skills and early engineering concepts. Public Speaking helps children develop confidence and articulation in front of others.

Lifestyle and Wellbeing

The Outdoor Piazza provides space for performing arts, while River Cove offers nature-based exploration and water play. A dedicated Bike Track supports active outdoor play, and the Atelier of Taste space hosts cookery classes and in-house meals to promote healthy eating. The large outdoor area is designed to support sports and physical activity, contributing to overall wellbeing.
