Established in 2002, Global Indian International School (GIIS) Singapore began with a single campus at Cheviot Hill, accommodating just 48 students. Over the years, it has expanded to two campuses: the East Coast Campus and the SMART Campus in Punggol.
At GIIS East Coast Campus, the school community is vibrant and diverse, with a strong emphasis on cultural diversity. The school organizes various events throughout the year to promote multiculturalism, including the Annual Day celebration, which features performances that celebrate global traditions.
The PTA at GIIS East Coast Campus is an essential part of the school community, fostering collaboration between parents and the school. It organizes a variety of events, including cultural celebrations, educational workshops, and sports activities, aimed at enriching the overall student experience. The PTA also works closely with the school administration to improve the educational environment and ensure that students have the support they need to thrive. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in regular meetings, providing a platform for feedback and new initiatives. The PTA is also involved in fundraising activities to support school programs and student development.
Global Indian International School (GIIS) Singapore offers a blend of the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge International curriculums, for students aged 3 to 18. The programmes offered include the Global Montessori Plus Programme for early years, the IB Primary Years Programme for primary education, the Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme and IGCSE for secondary levels, and both the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the IB Diploma Programme for higher grades. A distinguishing feature of GIIS East Coast Campus is its extensive sports facilities, including a 400-meter synthetic athletic track. The campus also boasts well-designed spaces for performing and visual arts, music, design, and technology.
