Established in 2002, Global Indian International School (GIIS) Singapore began with a single campus at Cheviot Hill, accommodating just 48 students. Over the years, it has expanded to two campuses: the East Coast Campus and the SMART Campus in Punggol.
GIIS Singapore fosters a vibrant and inclusive community, bringing together students, parents, and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds. The school organizes various events throughout the academic year that celebrate this diversity, including cultural festivals, art exhibitions, and music performances. These events provide opportunities for students to showcase their talents and for families to engage with the school community. GIIS also encourages participation in community service initiatives, promoting a sense of social responsibility among students.
At GIIS SMART Campus, the PTA plays a similar role in strengthening the connection between parents and the school. It organizes events such as cultural showcases, sports day, and parent-teacher conferences, promoting active engagement in the school community. The PTA also works alongside the school leadership to ensure a collaborative approach to student development. Regular meetings and social events offer parents the opportunity to contribute ideas, participate in school life, and build a supportive community. Fundraising events are also a key part of the PTA's activities, supporting school initiatives and extracurricular programs.
