Students work through individual learning modules called PACEs, requiring a minimum score of 80% to progress. The curriculum covers core subjects such as English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Word Building, alongside character development lessons.

From Grade 1 to 6 at the Bukit Gombak Campus, students also participate in co-curricular programs that include Chinese and Tagalog language lessons, Singapore Math, arts, sports, and life skills.

Wellbeing

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

As per the publicly disclosed information, while there is no dedicated SEL specialist, the small class sizes allow teachers to provide individualized attention and pastoral care. Community service projects further promote empathy and social responsibility among students.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Heritage Academy is not a specialist SEN institution and does not have dedicated SEN staff or specialist facilities.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Heritage Academy offers English language support through the ABC Reading Readiness program for younger students, focusing on early literacy skills and language development.

For older students, English Courses I, II, III, and IV provide structured instruction in reading, writing, listening, and speaking, with placement based on diagnostic assessments. Each course runs for six months and helps students improve their proficiency to access the main curriculum.

The school does not have specialist EAL staff, and students requiring further support may need additional external resources.

Mental Wellbeing

Heritage Academy supports mental wellbeing through its character education program and regular pastoral care provided by teachers. Weekly chapel sessions encourage reflection on values such as resilience, empathy, and responsibility.

Teachers monitor students’ wellbeing informally and provide guidance when concerns arise, though there are no dedicated mental health professionals on staff. Group activities and co-curricular programs promote social connection and a balanced approach to learning.

Safeguarding

Heritage Academy adheres to Singapore's safeguarding and child protection regulations, including the Children and Young Persons Act, to ensure student safety. The school has established procedures for handling complaints and disputes, as outlined in its Policy and Procedures document.
