Parent Experience

Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

HFSE International School was founded in 2015 by expatriates Ninalyn and Gary Cacananta. The couple established the school after facing challenges in securing a local school placement for their son in Singapore. Recognizing that many Filipino families encountered similar difficulties, they created a support center advocating for homeschooling to keep expatriate families together while addressing their educational needs. In 2018, the school was granted registration as an International School.

Community

HFSE International School fosters a diverse and inclusive community, welcoming students from various cultural backgrounds. The school organizes events such as the Moving Up Ceremony, Educational Field Trips, and Family Sportsfest, which aim to strengthen the bond among students, parents, and staff, creating a supportive and engaging environment.

Parent-Teacher Association

HFSE International School values active parental involvement through its parent support group, known as Partners for Excellence (P4E). P4E encourages collaboration between parents and the school to enhance the educational experience of students. The group participates in organizing and supporting various school events and activities, fostering a strong sense of community.
