HWA International School, originally established in 2006 as the Chinese International School in Singapore. It holds the distinction of being Singapore's first fully International Baccalaureate (IB) school spanning from Kindergarten to Pre-University. In 2022, the school opened the Marina Square Campus and adopted the name HWA International School.
HWA International School fosters a strong sense of community through various school-wide events and activities. These include cultural celebrations, sports events, and community service projects, allowing students, parents, and staff to connect. The school also organizes regular social gatherings and educational workshops that support a collaborative learning environment, enriching the overall student experience.
The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at HWA International School plays an integral role in building a strong partnership between parents and the school. The PTA organizes various community-building events, including fundraising activities, educational talks, and family-oriented social events. Through the PTA, families are encouraged to become involved in the school’s decision-making processes and create a supportive network for all students.
HWA International School follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, including the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students aged 3 to 12, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11 to 16, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16 to 19. One of HWA's standout features is its dual-language program, which immerses students in English and Mandarin, enhancing their bilingual skills. The school emphasizes extra-curricular involvement with activities ranging from sports and arts programs to cultural experiences.
