Community, involvement and what it's like to be a parent at this school

History

The Overseas Family School was established in 1991 and moved into its current Pasir Ris campus in 2015. This move marked a significant milestone, enhancing the school's capacity and facilities to better serve its community.

Community

OFS prides itself on a vibrant, multicultural community, with students from over 70 nationalities. The school actively fosters a sense of global citizenship and cultural appreciation. Engaging events like the annual Global Picnic and various cultural celebrations provide platforms for students and families to share traditions, cuisines, and customs, enriching the OFS experience.

Parent-Teacher Association

The OFS Parent Association (PA) is a dynamic, volunteer-driven organization that plays a pivotal role in enhancing the school community. Comprising parents from diverse backgrounds, the PA organizes a variety of events, including Coffee Mornings, cultural celebrations, and the much-anticipated Global Picnic.

For over three decades, Overseas Family School (OFS) has been a welcoming home for internationally minded families in Singapore. Founded in 1991, OFS offers a supportive and inclusive environment for students aged 2 to 18, helping them settle in quickly and feel a strong sense of belonging. With a diverse community representing over 65 nationalities, the school celebrates cultural diversity while supporting students in maintaining their identities through more than 15 Mother Tongue programmes. OFS provides a continuous international pathway, from the IEYC and IPC through to Cambridge IGCSEs and the International Baccalaureate (IBMYP and IBDP), ensuring consistency for globally mobile students. Learning at OFS extends beyond the classroom. Students benefit from well-equipped science laboratories, creative art studios, and a large theatre, reflecting the school’s strong commitment to the performing arts. Annual productions bring together students of all ages, building confidence and collaboration. With excellent sports facilities and three annual Model United Nations conferences, OFS encourages students to stay active, think globally, and grow into well-rounded individuals.
