Odyssey The Global Preschool's journey began in 1999 when the founding team witnessed the Hundred Languages of Children exhibit in San Francisco. The first Singapore campus opened at Wilkinson Road in 2008, and the group subsequently expanded to additional campuses at Fourth Avenue, Loyang, Still Road, Orchard and Dempsey. The Still Road campus commenced operations in 2016 and is housed in a heritage building at 25 Still Road South. Odyssey The Global Preschool is part of the Busy Bees Singapore family of education companies, providing a networked support structure across its campuses. The organization emphasizes an exploratory, self-directed learning approach to early childhood education.
Odyssey Still Road's school community emphasizes parent involvement and community outreach as part of its mission. Parents participate through the school's Parent Involvement program, including activities in the classroom (Parent In Class) and a formal Parent Support Group (PSG@Odyssey), coordinated by a PSG Teacher Coordinator and the Centre Director. Since Odyssey commenced in 2008, a long-standing, engaged parent community has been part of campus life. The PSG coordinates campus events, projects, parent workshops and seminars each year.
The school's parent association is organized as the Parents Support Group (PSG@Odyssey). PSG is made up of dedicated parent volunteers, a PSG Teacher Coordinator and the Centre Director. PSG meetings are held bi-monthly to coordinate events in the centre. Parent In Class provides engagement opportunities for parents to join the classroom, with activities such as storytelling, puppetry sessions, cooking demonstrations, show-and-tells and other projects. Every year, Odyssey provides opportunities for parents to participate in campus events, projects, parent workshops and seminars through PSG. Since Odyssey commenced in 2008, PSG has grown into a dynamic volunteer network across campuses.
Odyssey, The Global Preschool at Still Road provides early childhood education for children aged 18 months to 6 years. The school offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) with a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach. The Still Road campus is housed in a heritage building within a serene residential neighborhood and facilities include an Atelier for creative arts, a Jam Studio for music exploration, and an indoor herb garden. A distinctive feature is the full Chinese language immersion program, with dedicated Chinese language teachers in every class, promoting bilingual proficiency from an early age.
