The school is part of the XCL Education group. It was formerly known as GEMS World Academy (Singapore) before rebranding. In August 2025, XCL American Academy merged with XCL World Academy to form one unified school.
XCL World Academy (formerly XCL American Academy and GEMS World Academy Singapore) is an IB continuum school in northern Singapore offering the Primary Years, Middle Years, and Diploma programmes to students aged 3 to 18. The school runs a Chinese-English Bilingual Programme for Pre-K through Grade 5. It holds accreditations from WASC, CIS, and EduTrust, and is WIDA certified for English language learners. The campus, which recently expanded, sits near Yishun MRT and supports a diverse international community. Extracurricular offerings include sports, arts, clubs, and holiday camps. A school bus service is available for families across Singapore.
