XCL World Academy, formerly known as GEMS World Academy (Singapore), was established in 2014. In 2020, the school joined the XCL Education group, adopting its current name to reflect a commitment to excellence and global education. The name "XCL" is a gramogram of "excel," derived from the Latin word 'celsus,' meaning to rise and surpass.
