History

Cambridge International School was founded in 2012. It is fully accredited by the Slovak Ministry of Education to deliver the Slovak National Curriculum alongside the Cambridge Curriculum, leading to Cambridge IGCSE and International A-Level qualifications. Since 2012, the school has grown from a single class to over 520 students representing more than 25 nationalities, while maintaining a warm, family-like learning community.

Community

English is the primary language of instruction and the school is centrally located in Bratislava. Student life includes leadership opportunities, after-school clubs, and a range of sports, arts, and music. Eco-School accreditation supports environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives. The school also offers the Duke of Edinburgh's International Award and is a member of ECIS, linking CIS Bratislava to a global network of international schools.

Cambridge International School Bratislava offers a Cambridge-based education from primary through A‑levels, with an optional Slovak Maturita Year 14. The school combines Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level qualifications with the Slovak National Curriculum under accreditation by the Slovak Ministry of Education, and it welcomes a diverse community of more than 25 nationalities. In Primary (Years 2–6), teaching is in English and covers core subjects with reading emphasis supported by Accelerated Reader and Read, Write Inc. The Secondary programme (Years 7–13) follows the Cambridge framework, preparing students for IGCSEs and A‑Levels, alongside the option to graduate with Slovak Maturita. A dedicated Careers & University Guidance team and Unifrog support students' university progression. Facilities include science and computer labs, art and music rooms, a fully equipped gym, a library, and the Cambridge Creative Center for KS5. The campus hosts a strong arts and sports program, with performances, gallery visits, and international competitions.
