Transdisciplinary in-class and excursion-based science, cultural, and sport activities are organized to complement student inquiries, promote the school community, and expose students to new experiences. Activities occur within groups throughout the year, and students choose the offerings themselves. The Extended Program (RaP) has included Erasmus+ KA2 projects such as Connected with the Environment (2017–2019) to foster European collaboration and develop ICT and English-language skills.
Arts and creative options include a Children's Choir (SOVICE), color-themed art activities, and creative workshop experiences in writing and images. Film Art and Dance are offered, alongside ceramics and other crafts to nurture visual and performing arts. Lego clubs and Lego explorers provide hands-on building and teamwork opportunities, while student-led media activities like a school radio and school newspaper support creative expression.
Language-related after-school activities include a French language program with sessions like Pojmo po francosko and formal Francoščina classes, plus an English Reading Badge to promote language skills. A Spanish Exchange program connects students with peers in Spain to broaden cultural and linguistic horizons. These offerings complement inquiry-based learning and cross-cultural engagement within the school's activities.
A wide range of after-school clubs covers movement and sport, arts and crafts, and recreational activities, including choir, dance, and physical activity sessions. There are Lego clubs, chess, and other hands-on groups that foster collaboration and creative play. Students can participate in volunteering and peer tutoring, and there are organized social and hobby activities within the timetable.
Volunteering is offered as an extracurricular option, with opportunities to contribute to the community and support peers. Peer tutoring is available to help classmates, and student-led projects encourage service-minded involvement. The program emphasizes community engagement through various service activities coordinated by teachers and student groups.
Student leadership and professional-skills development are fostered through activities such as FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL) teams, a school radio, and a school newspaper. The FLL team Dominant Owls has collaborated on a National Museum project, illustrating project-based teamwork and external partnerships. These platforms provide students with opportunities to lead, plan, and communicate effectively.
The Extended Program emphasizes movement for health and wellbeing, mindfulness, and relaxation activities, including guided relaxation and sound-based experiences. After-school sports programs (e.g., Zlati sonček and Krpan) and other physical activities support physical well-being alongside structured after-school offerings.
